Analysis of Heat Pumps Efficiency in Selected Locations – A Case Study

Abstract Heat pumps are increasingly popular in individual buildings and could help to meet expectations of ambitious energy-environmental European goals until 2050. This paper presents the results energy simulations conducted TRNSYS for a single-family building depending on its location selected cities. For each city, air source heat pump (ASHP) was considered as an heating cooling building, then economic analysis carried out including investment costs comparison operating ASHP with other alternatives (i.e. gas boiler, oil or conditioners). The showed that current prices use is most beneficial temperate warm transitional climate (Krakow). It also indicated implementation special tariffs (reduced prices) electricity supplies renewable devices would make unmatched residential sector.
